Dr. Nasir Rana has devoted more than twenty years of his professional life to academic medicine and clinical practice of Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Rana obtained his early medical education at King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1969 and, a Masters in Public Health with emphasis on women's health care, from the University of Illinois. He received his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, one of the prestigious and leading institutions of medical learning in the Country. He then proceeded to complete a postgraduate research fellowship in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Rush University/Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Rana is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also subspecialty board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Rana is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He was awarded a certificate of special competence in the field of advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgical procedures by the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. Over the years, Dr. Rana has lectured extensively on the issues dealing with women's health. He and his colleagues have organized and participated in several national and international seminars and workshops on Endometriosis, Infertility and advanced Laparoscopic Gynecological procedures. Dr. Rana has authored or co-authored more than 35 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals.
